Velli Nakshatram Malayalam Movie Online

Kudos to Director Hari for his fearless remake of the lost and found twins. This must be the most succesful masla formats in cinema. This must be the 1000th movie in Indiabased on twins.

Hari has given importance to detailing such as chains worn by the twins, getting seperated in a train journey, growing up in different places but one thing he has done differently, only one hero(surya) has a heroine. The other is left in a lurch. There are laxmi and Ranjitha to give some tearjerking moments.
Best of the lot os KalaBhavan Mani who plays the villain.Burns up sugarcane fields, tries to beat up Surya now and then and finally becomes a sucide bomber trying to blowup a train(Its a not to miss action sequence) alll this for a unique reason(suryas adopted father put him in jail).
Any way all is well with Asin as usual playing a sweet foolish girl.Every thing is fine, the pace of story telling is the only thing which makes you sit through the movie and surya's performance carries the movie to some extent. You get a feeling that Surya wanted to wear a dhothi and fight with an aruval just like his brother did in paruthi veeran.

Plus Points: surya,fast story telling
Minus Points: every thing else

Kilukkam Kilukilukkam Malayalam Movie Online

Kilukkam Kilukilukkam - History doesn’t repeat

It is an old saying that when history repeats itself it is usually as a farce.

This fits Kilukkam Kilukilukkam just about perfectly. Kilukkam, the film’s parent of sorts, was a milestone in Malayalam cinema. But Kilukkam Kilukilukkam is almost a farce with mindless burlesque and silly caricaturing.

To be sure, the attempt at comedy is well-intentioned. But the effect is not palatable. For, the film does not take off from Kilukkam but remains stagnated on it.

In the event, the abiding feeling that you come out with is one of disappointment and also disgrace. The gaggle of comedians ---- Jagathy, Innocent, Cochin Haneefa, Harisree Ashokan, Salim Kumar and the frontline actors --- try their best. But the script doesn’t allow them to rise above the entrenched mediocrity. The script is to blame for that. And to see Mohanlal reduced to a caricature of himself is sad.

The story is simple. Chandini (Kavya Madhavan) is the daughter of a slain Mayor (Vijayaraghavan). She is on the run and ends in a home in Ooty. Roy and Balu (Kunchacko Boban and Jayasurya) fall for her charms. But there is an entire of team of characters (Jagathy, Innocent, Haneefa, Harisree Ashokan) are also after her because of the money on offer for identifying her.

It is a mad caper with everyone angling for her. Enter Mohanlal in the last segment and he settles the entire confusing medley in one fell swoop.

It could have been fun all the way had the scriptwriters been more attentive and enterprising. So in their hands, the film never rises above the predictable terrain of slapstick comedy.

The actors are all energetic. More is the pity.

Director Sandhya Mohan has lost a golden opportunity to make history. As we said, he has made a farce.

Kerala Police Malayalam Movie Online

Kalabhavan Mani has after a long time got a film that could prove to be a hit. In Kerala Police director Chandrashekharan has managed to elicit from Mani a performance that suits his acting capabilities, while making the film watchable on the whole. The film is not extraordinary in any sense, but it is much better than most of Kalabhavan Mani films of recent times.

Kerala Police tells the story of an honest and upright police officer named Satyanathan, who is ridiculed and sidelined by his own colleagues in the police force, just because he comes from a backward class in the society. Even Mukunda Verma, who is just another Circle Inspector like Satyanathan, doesn't spare any occasion to make insulting remarks. However, Satyanathan has an ally in Philip Tharakan, the kindly Superintendent of Police.

In the meantime the dead body of freelance photographer Vimal Roy is found in a tile factory. Though others in the police force want to dismiss it as a suicide, Satyanathan believes that it is a case of homicide takes it upon himself to go into the depths of the case. His investigations lead him to film actress Sanjana, whom he questions as part of the investigation. As the story unfurls he learns that Sanjana was Leelamma earlier and used to live in Goa. She had known Vimal Roy. Sanjana, after relating her past, admits to killing Vimal Roy.

Satyanathan however, is not convinced and draws his own inferences. He believes that someone else was the killer. By then a lady officer from the CBI named Nandini, is brought in to investigate the case, and Satyanathan is again sidelined. Satyanathan goes on leave and carries on the investigation on a personal level, while Nandini does the investigation at the official level.

Kalabhavan Mani shines as Satyanathan, while Lakshmi Sharma puts in just an average performance as Sanjana. Bijukuttan, who plays the role of a constable named Balram, who assists Satyanathan, provides enough of comic relief. Swarnamallya cuts a sorry figure as Nandini and seems to be uncomfortable with the language itself. Innocent is a let-down as Philip Tharakan and falters in sequences where he has to deliver dialogues in English. Madhu Warrier is good as Kiran, an actor. Suraaj Venjaramoodu, who appears in a couple of scenes as a film producer, succeeds in doing what is expected of him, i.e., send the audience into fits of laughter. Baiju is his very usual self as Mukunda Verma.

The main highlight of the film is the script, which is far better when compared to usual Kalabhavan Mani-starrers. The scenarist as well as the director deserves to be appreciated for taking total control over the subject and also for having used Kalabhavan Mani with a complete understanding of his capabilities as well as his weak-points. Technical aspects are just average, and one feels that if the film had a bit more of pace it would have been a lot better.

But still the film is worth a watch and stands out as one of those rare Kalabhavan Mani-starrers sans the usual Kalabhavan Mani-rendered song, which has become redundantly boring these days. Just go and enjoy viewing this investigation drama, if you are in the mood of viewing a comparatively well-made Kalabhavan Mani-movie. But beware; don't even think of going to this movie if you expect something more out of a Kalabhavan Mani action flick.

Innathe Chinthavishayam Malayalam Movie Online

Mohanlal has a super Hit, finally. After a strange procession of blockbuster flops,”Innathe Chintavishayam” might just save the year for the actor. But sadly this has very little to do with Mohanlal. “Udayananu Tharam” atleast had Mohanlal’s understated performance which didn’t jutt out, but if anything is out of place in “Innathe Chintavishayam” - it is Mohanlal. That doesn’t ruin the movie by the way. A good movie provided you dont come out and say its a cliched subject or there is nothing new in offer. Its summer guys, have fun!

Story: Sathyan Anthikad has a mediocre family entertainer which revolves around four families and Mohanlal. As Mohanlal’s character says, what is special about human beings is there relationships (which are priceless, for everything else there is Antony Perumbavoor) and seems God has sent him here to intervene when relationships sour. Each of the four families have one example of women being stepped on - an unfaithful husband (Mukesh)in one, a possesive husband (Vijayaraghavan),a muslim husband who wouldn’t let his wife have a career and a family who wouldn’t let their daughter go to college. Relevant issues that they are, and hence the title “Innathe Chintavishayam”. Now Mohanlal, Meera Jasmine and Innocent set out to bring these broken families together (by hook, crook, love, sentiments etc). Thats pretty much the story. There is no suspense.

Good:

1. Convincing performances: No remarkable characters but seasoned humour from actors like Sukanya, Innocent and Mukesh makes the movie lively. Finally Meera Jasmine has some respite from her “Damsel in Distress” props, and is a relief to watch. (except for her costumes! yeah costumes)

2. Entertainer: Its a “word of the mouth” movie and a clear family entertainer. Even while you see through it, the movie doesn’t bore you except for one song (where Mohanlal tries to play a ten year old).

Bad:

1. Mohanlal: Our man should do a High school teacher now. In the first half you wonder where Lal is, and in the second half he teaches us loving, appreciating bio-diversity, mending broken relationships etc without leaving the frame. The same tired dialogue delivery from the actor who won the best actor award again last week. It is not that Lal is a bad actor, but it is time Lal defines where he belongs. In this movie, rest all are characters and Mohanlal tries to play God.

2. Lack of refinement: Subtlety goes to the dogs in the script. Item public may like it, but things which should be explained in the narrative through scenes are instead packaged in on the face moral dialogues. Like say “family is very important” - hell we all know that, now go show it in the movie. The movie deals with relevant issues but imagine “Sandesham” with a super star as an add on who comes in every two minutes and gives a moral (or two if you are lucky). and Mohanlal should stop playing this High school know-all teacher.

Verdict: Watchable movie with some placed humour (like “Randu panna chaya” :)).Very predictable like all Anthikad films, but Mohanlal’s and Sathyan’s initial pull plus the story line will most probably give a Hit this time. Neither a remarkable movie nor one that deserves an apology - strict middle path formula movie. Sathyan plays it safe and Mohanlal’s Ashirwad films will make some dough this time.

Novermber Rain Malayam Movie Online

Debutante director Vinu Joseph's November Rain is a film that is well-made, but may not prove to be crowd puller. The reasons are diverse. Firstly the film, though well made, doesn't provide us with anything new, i.e., nothing is there which makes the film different from others in the same genre. Secondly, the lead player Arun is someone who hasn't yet proved himself at the box office, and Kerala is a State where people still do not accept new stars that easily. Thirdly the songs don't have in them the power to make the film a hit on their merit.

November Rain tells the story of a young man named Satyanarayanan, the son of honest and daring police officer Krishnamoorthy, who is heading the anti-goonda squad in the city and is bent on eliminating the breed entirely. Satya is an easy going kind of youth who has passed the plus two exams after repeated attempts. He is waiting to be admitted to college and passes his time practising boxing, eating and lazing about.

After he gets admitted to college Satya becomes part of a group that has some indirect connections with some of the henchmen of Majid Ali, a noted criminal and a reckoning force in the city's dreaded underworld. Satya, who appears initially as a silly imbecile, later turns out to be a tough guy and gradually begins to head his gang in the college. Then one day, Satya and his gang clash with goondas brought in by Prabhakaran, the college union chairman. In the course of the fight one of the goondas is stabbed by Satya. This leads to many problems.

Though the victim doesn't die, Satya and gang are forced to go into hiding and talks for compromise begin. The parents of others in Satya's gang come forward to pay money and go in for a compromise. But Krishnamoorthy is a man of principles and he holds that if Satya has done something wrong, he must be punished. Satya somehow comes out of the mess along with his friends. But this marks the beginning of a rift between the father and the son. Satya gradually drifts into the ranks of the underworld. What happens consequently leads to a very touching climax.

For the People fame Arun, who dons the role of Satyanarayanan, does a good job, but like most other actors in Malayalam Cinema, he too is getting stereotyped. It seems that after the earlier Quotation and now November Rain, we can expect only this kind of action films from him. Laloo Aalex as Krishnamoorthy is his usual self. Balaji is good as Majid Ali. Sreejith Ravi as Ali's henchman is also good, but at some junctures he and his character seem to be unnecessarily loud. Geetha as Satya's mother Indira is OK.

Nimisha who plays Satya's beloved Anu doesn't have any kind of appeal. Sajitha Beti as Satya's sister Archana alias Achchu is OK. Niyaz as Pappu and Aniyappan as Sajeevan (both friends and aides of Satya) and Unni Shivapal as Prabhakaran are good. The others in the cast don't make much of an impression. Of the songs, "Raavin nenjil theeram thedum ..." gels with the theme and is shot very well. The other songs are OK, but not outstanding. Cinematography, editing and art-work are in sync with the theme.

November Rain is on the whole well-made and the performances of the main actors are satisfactory, but the film doesn't offer anything new. It moves along predictable lines and we have seen many such stories earlier on the screen. One wonders why our filmwallahs are obsessed with the name Satya for characters that drift into the underbelly of organized crime for various reasons. [Remember the Suresh Krishna-directed Tamil film Satya (1988) starring Kamalhassan, and the Ram Gopal Varma-directed Hindi film Satya (1998) starring Chakravarthy?]

The script of November Rain has been worked out well. The inclusion of the hooded figures used very symbolically to refer to changes in Satya's life and his fate is good, though it seems more like a theatrical device than a cinematic innovation, and doesn't have much of an impact.

Malabar Wedding Malayalam Movie Online

Malabar Wedding has all the exuberance, vigor and cheer of a nuptial event. Upbeat, unpredictable and real lighthearted Malabar Wedding is a modest film that spells change in a season of lackadaisical endeavors.

Manukuttan (Indrajith) is the ring leader of a prankster band that specializes in Sora Kalyanam, a unique Malabar tradition before an actual wedding that makes mincemeat of the prospective groom through playful antics and good humored jaunts. Manu knows hence, that its payback time for his former victims when he gets engaged to Smitha (Gopika) and the countdown to D-Day begins. Smitha has been ferociously battling with a few demons from her past and the Sora Kalyanam ends up having more dire consequences than the droll gang anticipates.

The director duo Rajesh - Faisal have the reins held tight with this comic caper that never really runs out of steam. There is very little humor in Malabar Wedding that appears contrived or forced. The hilarity associated with the film has a remarkable simplicity writ all over it, that's reminiscent of some of the best comedies of the nineties. It's a comedy, not in the revolting, sugary, sickening sense that we have been fast getting used to. It's neat, smart and credits its audience with enough intelligence to play along and have a few satisfying laughs that are totally gratifying.

Malabar Wedding deftly marks the indisputable arrival of Indrajith the actor. He makes his striking presence impressively felt and moves ahead in leaps and bounds with a refreshing performance. Surprisingly he seems to be on familiar ground since his comic timing has been a matter of much speculation. Equally adept in the witty and poignant scenes, this is one his premium performances till date. Gopika is a true delight to watch; she looks drop dead dazzling and lends an intense credibility to her character.
She proves her fine facility yet again, with an impeccable performance in a role that is quite vital though not in any way truly demanding of her acting prowess.

Malabar Wedding banks heavily on a host of actors who unleash a comic riot on screen. Backed by the incredible talents of rather a huge range of actors as Suraj Venjarammood, Mamukkoya, Bijukuttan, Maniyan Pillai Raju, Anoop Chnadran and Janardhanan, this is probably one of the funniest casts in a Malayalam movie in recent times.

The central backdrop of Malabar Wedding is reason enough for celebration in that it is sweet, likeable and consistently engaging. And it works exceedingly well even with several tale tracks simultaneously at work. There's indeed a cleverness to this taut script by Ramesh Madhav that neatly holds these tales together and yet efficiently manages to flit across them with a sharp expertise.

Malabar Wedding is an appealing film, if not exactly revolutionary. A delightful romantic comedy made with the right doses of wit and style, this is a charming film that actually deserves to win.

Cycle Malayalam Movie Online

Johny Antony's Cycle has on more occasions than one, a flat tyre. And yet, this is one ride that is tremendous fun. Massively powered with real roaring engines, this two-wheeler whizzes ahead faster than a Porsche.

Roy (Vineeth Sreenivasan) and Sanju (Vinu Anand) have to make do with their very modest salaries from their very menial jobs at the City Centre. The best-buddies turn partners-in-crime when a late night New Year bash land them in an awful muddle. A bag full of loot, half a town after them in hot chase, and two pretty lasses Annie (Bhama) and Meenakshi (Sandhya) in love; things couldn't get any better or worse for the boys-next-door.

Cycle has an air of freshness all about it. There is definitely a vibrant feel to the happenings that brings about an irresistible charm to the whole film. James Albert pens a script that's not even a patch on his former work, but still manages to hold it all together, just enough to create yet another hit. The early gags are especially delightful, and the pressure build-up truly electrifying. The Cycle as a metaphor of tranquility and mental bliss works incredibly well, and so does the refrain of the deafening airplanes every now and then, suggestive of constant dread and panic.

Cycle would be tremendously more enjoyable, if you showed that defiant sense of logic tugging at your back, the exit door. Here is a film that makes no pretensions with regard to its sole purpose - that of simple and quite straightforward entertainment. This might be a reason why eyebrows shouldn't be raised, even as a whole lot of ridiculous coincidences make their appearance in the jumble.

Vineeth is a faithful replica of his father; almost every little bit, down to the constantly apprehensive Sreeni grin has been left in tact, and his debut performance is sure to turn quite a few heads. He has an immense comic timing and is equally at ease in the mushy and sentimental scenes. Vinu Mohan confidently underplays his part, which effectively contributes to his assured act. He sheds off that air of innocence and lurks around assertively, while letting Vineeth play to the galleries. The girls are evenly efficient, and yet I would hand it over to Sandhya for the amazing unfussiness in her portrayal, even as Bhama struggles with a faint amateurishness at places.

Shot on exotic locales in Singapore and Bombay, Cycle looks fabulous. Shaji has worked wonders behind the camera, and Bijibal cooks up a gripping background score that's a roller coaster ride on its own. The BGM clearly overrides the film's music by Mejo Joseph though there's an odd tune that does stand out among the three songs.

If you are one of those, who would watch a Harry Potter film, and wonder aloud with a smirk, as to how all the toads turned into tulips, I would advise you to stay home, safe with the cricket. On the other hand, if you could send rationality packing up the hills and throw caution to the winds, all ready to have the time of your life, go and have a joyride on the fun-tabulous Cycle!

Sound Of Boot Malayalam Movie Online

Holiday Home is a tourist resort in the high ranges of Kerala. It is a property that reminds one of the British mansions of the colonial days, and is frequented by tourists who come to enjoy the beauty of Kerala's hilly terrain, and by newly married couples who come to honeymoon here. It is with a heart full of dreams that Rahul Krishna comes to Holiday Home with his beloved Meera Nambiar. But what happens there is beyond his wildest dreams.

Boot is a Shaji Kailas film that has Suresh Gopi in the lead role. Murali and Bala have prominent roles in the film. So does Honey Rose. Quite different from his other films, which had politics and crime as the thread, Boot has romance and suspense as the central theme. Shot in Kuttikkanam, Peermede and other scenic locations in Kerala's high ranges.

Ayur Rekha Malayalam Movie Online

What would you expect from an investigative flick which has Sreenivasan in it, donning the lead role of an investigative officer? If you are someone who approaches films with a realistic kind of attitude, you're not going to be disillusioned with Ayur Rekha, directed by debutante G.M. Manu. It's not extraordinary, but it's good all the same, especially if you go to see it with a totally unprejudiced mind.

Ayur Rekha has as the central character Dr. Aparna, whose divorce case with husband Dr. Venugopal is in progress. Aparna is a very sophisticated character whom it is very difficult to understand. As the Managing Director of Shankar Hospital, which she has inherited from her father, she is extremely strict and sometimes even a bit rude to her subordinate staff.

Dr. Mallika works in the same hospital. Mallika's husband Anand is the one who is appearing for Aparna in court, as her advocate. Aparna, knowing that Anand is sad at being issueless after being married for years, makes attempts to lure Anand into a relationship with her and she is almost successful. She has promised Anand that if he helps her in winning the case, she would gift him with something totally unexpected. And Anand, who understands her intentions, is caught in the web of the temptations offered by her.

In the meantime Thriprayar Madhavan, who comes to live in a house near Aparna's, also gets attracted to her. Madhavan is a musician and he begins to feel that he can win over Aparna into a relationship. But things are not as easy as he thinks. The day he jumps the wall and knocks on Aparna's door in the dead of the night, he gets hit on the head from behind and finds himself next in the hospital.

Finally Aparna's case in court reaches an end and the very same day Mallika too is diagnosed to be pregnant. And then follows the most startling of developments. Aparna is found dead in her own bed, with all symptoms of having taken her own life by injecting too much of Pethidine. Postmortem results too confirm this. But then the story takes a new turn. Aparna's son, just a young boy, has his own doubts and he sends an e-mail to Jacob George, the new Superintendent of Police. Jacob George reopens the case.

The film belongs to Lakshmi Sharma (who plays Dr. Aparna) and Sreenivasan (who plays Jacob George). If Lakshmi Sharma dominates the action in the first half, it's Sreenivasan who hogs the limelight after making his appearance in the post-interval section. Sreenivasan does full justice to the role and performs in his typical style, quite convincingly.

Others in the cast, like Indrajith (Anand), Jyothirmayi (Mallika), Saikumar (Dr.Venugopal) etc are comfortable with their respective roles. Mukesh's character, that of Thriprayar Madhavan seems to be a bit overdone, characterization-wise, especially since the character has been made out to be too funny, but Mukesh makes it rather convincing. Jagathy Sreekumar is his very usual self as the Pharmaceutical man Thankappan Pillai, Thriprayar Madhavan's friend. Urvashi hasn't got much to do as Jacob George's wife, though she is OK with her role. Nedumudi Venu as Captain Nair, who is the right-hand man of Aparna, does well.

There's nothing much to be said about the songs, which are not impressive at all. Technical aspects are good. The director and the scenarist, with ample support from the cast, have done a commendable job, but still, as the film doesn't have anything new to offer and since it hasn't had much of publicity, it's to be seen how it fares at the box office. In total Ayur Rekha is not disappointing fare, but it isn't too good either.
