Ek Chhoti Si Love Story Hindi Movie Online

Director Shashilal Nair’s Ek Chhoti Si Love Story, is based on the offbeat subject of an adolescent boy’s infatuation with his neighbor next door.

The film is the story of a curious teenager Aditya (played by Aditya Seal) who has been left under the care of his grandmother by his career-conscious parents. Alone and bored, Aditya spends his time training his telescope on a young and buxom girl Manisha (Manisha Koirala) living in a flat right opposite him.

Soon

Aditya’s hobby turns into infatuation as he begins to follow her movements closely. He feels sexually drawn towards her when he sees her coming out of her bath, her hair dripping wet. He feels jealous when he catches her making love with her boyfriend (Ranvir Shourie).

All this while Manisha is unaware of her secret admirer. And when the young boy musters up the courage and speaks his heart out to Manisha she takes it in her stride and gives him a little teaser on adolescent love.

Although the film does not contain any nudity or vulgar scenes it does highlight Manisha’s sensuality. The subject is novel but without much substance. The pace of narrative is slow and Shashilal’s sense of presentation is stylish but not innovative.

Above all, the touchy Piano leitmotif in the background throughout the film creates the right impact and brings about the associative emotions in viewers.

Love Story 2050 Hindi Movie Online

Wish Harry Baweja had kept it simple. By the look of the film's first half, it seems a love story set in 2008 would have worked better as son Harman's debut venture instead of "Love Story 2050", which really is neither here nor there.

Yes, the movie moves across places and time, but unfortunately, it belongs nowhere, and goes nowhere. In fact, it just loses its way in a mess created by a bad script and worse story-telling.

It's neither a full blown romantic film nor a science fiction. Kindly put, "Love Story 2050" is a misdirected attempt, albeit an ambitious one, to launch Harman Baweja in a film that has been made with a simple intention - to stand apart from the rest.

It does stand apart, but not for its originality or technical brilliance, but the immense disappointment it leaves you with. What a waste of a Rs500 million budget!

No, the hype does not kill it. In fact, one steps into the first day's first show with no expectations, instead probably with a little sympathy for the film and its debutant hero as the giant Aamir Khan and his cutthroat marketing of "Jaane Tu Yaa Jaane Na" had been threatening to crush Harman's dream, even before he could prove himself.

A handful of people in the cinema were the first ominous sign of things to come. As Karan (Harman) makes a stylised entry on the big screen, you wait for the next big things to happen. But what does is pretty regular stuff... Love at first sight, Karan subsequently wooing Sana (Priyanka Chopra), the couple singing some melodious songs, while the eye-pleasing locales of South Australia roll in the background.

To be fair, till this point, the film, though moving at a slower-than-desired pace, manages to keep you interested.

But just when you think the lonely Karan is alone no more, it's time to go into the future. The Shanghai-lookalike Mumbai of 2050 is where he lands along with scientist Uncle Ya (Boman Irani) and Sana's siblings. Our happy hero of the first half is now on a mission, which progresses in a painfully confused manner.

Instead of the much talked about technical wizardry bowling one over, what knocks our senses dead is a haphazard bunch of sequences that don't connect cohesively and challenge logic every step of the way.

By now you genuinely feel sorry for Harman and even have no patience or appreciation for the special effects that inconsistently appear on screen. Some are amateurish, some impressive, but you simply don't care.

At almost 3 hours, this love story makes you weep for a happy ending, or just any ending.

Amidst all that's mediocre and bad, Harman makes his presence felt. For most of film he is at ease and dances like a dream, and except for a few scenes that require complex emoting, his acting passes muster. And yes, not just the face, even his voice and on screen mannerisms are quite like Hrithik Roshan's. So whether he likes it or not, comparisons will remain and it will take a lot of effort from him to come into his own.

Priyanka's performance fluctuates between likable and contrived, and despite the long length of her role, she doesn't really make a mark. Her stylist though does a good job of making her fit her two on screen personas.

The remaining cast has bit roles with nothing to do, and even the immensely talented Boman Irani fails to win you over.

The fault lies mainly with the script, screenplay and direction. Together, the three make you so weary that while you do notice that the music is pleasing and the sets beautifully crafted, you can't be bothered with applauding.

‘I don't need luck because I have love', is Karan's favourite line in the film. Well, Harman may have love, but for "Love Story 2050" to work, he'll only need luck. And lots of it.

Cast: Harman Baweja, Priyanka Chopra, Boman Irani, Archana Puran Singh, Dilip Tahil

Director: Harry Baweja

Music: Anu Malik

Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic Hindi Movie Online

Ever since news and publicity about "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic" has been doing the rounds, the film's director Kunal Kohli has insisted it's not a Bollywood take on the Hollywood classic, "Mary Poppins".

Well, he may actually be right. There is a little bit of "Mary Poppins" in the nanny with the magic twist. But, there's also a little bit of another Julie Andrews film, "The Sound of Music", with the God's messenger bringing a father closer to his children twist. And there's a little bit of the Nicolas Cage-Meg Ryan film, "City of Angels", with the angel choosing love over God twist.

So there's a lot of "thoda" from here and there, but there's also lots of "magic", making Kohli's latest film as director and first film as producer, a good old Disney-style movie.

As the movie's title credits roll, we're shown the childhood of a young Ranbeer Talwar, who is orphaned at a young age. In boarding school, he is the star student, winning every prize up for grabs and losing everyone he loves - parent, teacher and childhood sweetheart.

The older Ranbeer (Saif Ali Khan) is a yuppie businessman, sweeping awards and women off their feet, until one fateful night when he rams his car into an SUV. As a stunned and speechless Ranbeer steps out of his car, the wrecked SUV is towed away and the dead bodies of Mr and Mrs Wallia are brought out, resulting in his arrest and the bereavement of the four Wallia children.

A landmark judgment is passed and instead of a prison sentence, Ranbeer is assigned the responsibility - financial and emotional - of the four children for a three-month trial period. Should Ranbeer fail, he would face a non-bailable prison sentence.

Needless to say, the kids - Vasisht, Avantika, Aditi and Iqbal - are out for revenge and agree to move in with Ranbeer. However, it's not smooth sailing and after an unpleasant evening, Ranbeer and the kids look up to God for help.

God, played by an all-dressed-in-white Rishi Kapoor and surrounded by a group of female angels, listens to their prayers and dispatches his favourite angel, Geeta (Rani Mukerji), to make the orphans and their new guardian learn to love each other.

And so, begins an adventure as Geeta enters their lives as a nanny and stays on as their Didi.

The plot is pretty predictable - even though highly implausible. However, for once, there is no melodrama. There is no ridiculous twist. There are no unexplainable details despite the fictitious storyline.

Kunal Kohli sticks to the basic formula of a family entertainer with elements of fun and fantasy and he gets it right.

Clearly, "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic" is a film that has to be for kids, but it's got that wholesome family feel to it and even the item number with the huge hit "Lazy Lamhe" works as an integral element within the plot.

With a safe and steady script, Kohli's masterstroke has to be in the casting. Saif Ali Khan is a delight as the stone-hearted bachelor who turns soft. His transformation is believable and the actor's chemistry with the child artistes is as real as it gets.

Rani Mukerji as Geeta the angel is chirpy in a positive way and manages to steer clear of Bollywood's annoying good girl characterisation of anything divine.

And what about all those rumours that Saif and Rani barely spoke during the film's shooting? Doesn't matter. Ranbeer and Geeta work great on screen.

Even Amisha Patel, as Ranbeer's girlfriend Malaika, is enjoyable as she nails the silly fashionista part.

However, Kohli deserves a huge thank you for his child artiste discoveries. Ranging in the age-groups of 5-11, the kids are a treat to watch. Their chemistry among themselves is magnificent, their acting restrained, their innocence remains without losing sight of the maturity of today's children, their timing wonderful and their performances sterling.

The characters in "Thoda Pyaar Thoda Magic" have all been sketched out well, allowing the entire cast to work separately within their skins and as a team.

Although the music of the film hasn't received great reviews with the exception of "Lazy Lamhe", it serves the purpose of fitting into the framework of a good Bollywood musical.

Go watch it. And don't forget your kids.

Jaane Tu... Ya Jaane Na Hindi Film Online

No horsing around. Let’s cut to the chase. Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na is a simple, refreshingly different romantic film that makes you wanna fall in love.

There is something about Imran Khan that makes him very endearing. He has the demeanor of a shy guy with a rare combination of the sharp and meek, the clever and vulnerable. He has an unpretentious, honest face, clear eyes and a voice that is confident and also inhibited. To a T, he suits the role of a Rajput who can’t even kill a fly, forget about punching someone or seeing the inside of a jail.

There is something about Genelia D'Souza , the way she smiles and the way she scowls. She has a fine blend of femininity and tomboyishness. She doesn’t have the face of a stunner, but it’s a face you can watch for hours without getting bored. To a T she suits the role of a girl who would love someone without knowing it, a girl who would pick fights with other boys but can’t tell what’s in her heart to the person most close.

You see! The point I’m coming to is that director Abbas Tyrewala (and his wife Pakhi) has cast a perfect ensemble in his directorial debut. Be it Ratna Pathak Shah as the admonishing mother of the protagonist, or Naseerudin Shah as the sword-wielding dead Rajput father who speaks to his wife (Ratna) from a photograph. Or be it Paresh Rawal as the cop who deals with criminals and imparts justice with his baton and bumboo rather than putting load on the judiciary. Or be it Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan , superbly cast as two macho Rajputs, who ride horses in city and pick up fights in discotheques.

All these actors are very appropriately cast in a story that has loads of youthful exuberance, hilarity, love, friendship, romance and heartbreak.

‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ is about a bunch of friends. Jai aka Ratz (Imran Khan) and Aditi aka Meawoo (Genelia) are so close that people close to them think they are in love. Only Jai and Aditi themselves are unaware of any such feelings towards each other. Rotlu, the brooder, has a crush on Aditi. And Bombs, the tubelight, silently longs for Jai. Jiggy and Shaleen are totally chilled out. Together the sextet makes a gang of singing, dancing, joking and joshing buddies.

Things change when Jai falls for Meghna (Manjari Phadnis). Aditi feels Jai getting distant from her and this disturbs her. Then, Aditi too finds her Mr. Right in Sushant, a broad-shouldered ‘man’ with a roving eye. Now, Jai feels he is losing Aditi. How Jai and Aditi get out of their romantic mess and discover their heart’s true desire is what ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ is about.

On paper, the movie might look like any other love story with some beaten-to-death clichés like the hero mounting on a horse and riding to an airport in the climax to stop his ladylove from leaving for the US. But believe you me, it has never been presented in such as novel way – with a delectable dash of humour – as in ‘Jaane Tu’.

Hats off to Abbas Tyrewala for keeping the story so simple and populating it with characters (including horses) that chip in their bit to the movement of the plot. As it turns out by the film’s end, not a single character is dispensable to the story. Each one has a part to play, including the fuddy-duddy, dead daddy (Naseeruddin Shah) of the protagonist who speaks from a photo frame. In fact, my favorite scene from the film is when Jai comes home bruised after his first active fight and his dad almost bursts with muffled joy of his son at last showing some Rajput trait. Without saying a word, Naseer conveys it all with his expressions.

Paresh Rawal comes in a few scenes and leaves you floored. Ratna Pathak Shah is good. The young actors playing the bunch of friends are natural. It’s hard to notice any acting in their performance. Arbaaz and Sohail are absolutely adorable as the rustic cowboys eager to pick up fights. Not to forget A R Rahman ’s music that blends seamlessly into the narrative whether it’s played in background or in foreground.

In the end, ‘Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na’ can be aptly summed up in a few lines from the song ‘Nazrein Churana’. The lines go: “dil ki yahi khataa hai, dil ko nahin pataa hai, ki dil chahta hai kya.”

Don’t miss this film.

Khusboo Hindi Movie Online

Cast: Rishi Rehan, Avantika, Ninad Kamat, Himani Shivpuri, Prem Chopra, Raj Babbar, Chunky Pandey, Shakti Kapoor (Guest appearance); Director: Rajesh Ram Singh;

2008 seems to be a year for fresh faces in Bollywood. Even the well-known producer Pahlaj Nihalani tried introducing two new faces through his latest flick Khusboo but the garbage, the film showcases, fails in hinting at the fragrance it has been intended to spread.

Raghunathan Iyer (Rishi Rehan) is a project manager at a multinational company. Being very with his job profile, his boss (Raj Babbar) wants to send him to New York but due to some emergency at a project in Chandigar he has forget about New York and move for Chandigar. Raghu meets Pinky (Avantika) in Chandigar and despite having no faith in love he falls for Pinky (just like all the logically foolish love stories).

The representative of modernism in Chandigar, Pinky slips straight to Raghu’s bed at their third meeting and after two months she returns only to say that she is pregnant with Raghu’s child. She asks Raghu to meet her parents once so that she can later on easily tell them the reality about the child. Raghu marries Pinky immediately after meeting her parents. But they keep their marriage a secret. When Pinky’s parents come to know about their marriage, they, like typical Punjabi, come to Raghu’s office to kill him. Being the only daughter in the family, Pinky easily wins the heart of her five brothers. But her father, subadar Arminder Singh (Prem Chopra) forsakes the relationship with her. Afterwards, the story witnesses a lot of turns and twists and reaches the happy ending (as it’s very usual).

If films are always prone to have one or the other fault, Khusboo is the uncrowned king among flawed entertainers. It’s really sad that despite having keen eyes to find a better moment, the film doesn’t offer anything praiseworthy. Including direction and first appearance of Rishi and Avantika, all are very weak. It’s quite unfortunate that all the talents, including the lyrics by Javed Akhtar, music by Adnan Sami and Bappi Lahiri and well known voices of established singers, are simply wasted just for the sake of the film. The film seems more an unsolved puzzle than an entertainer. The reason behind the modern Pinky, willingly sleeping with an almost unknown guy and clad in modern outfits, declining to deport for New York just for the sake of her desh, is really beyond any psychological understanding. It looks really bakwas to see Pinky thinking about giving birth to her child in this nation only and more than that, her intention of tagging her child as Shikh appears more intended and unfortunate fallacy. If she can ignore cast at the time of marrying Raghu, how come she insists on the same issue during the birth of her child!

The film is completely an unsolved mystery with so many questions like this. It creates question on the director Rajesh Ram and more than that Khusboo is a big question mark on the career of Pahlaj Nihalani.

Enriched with Punjabi culture, the film looks more a Punjabi flick than Hindi one. Being so inclined to Punjabi traditions, the film should not be able to pull the Hindi audience. Albeit, watching the film is completely dependant on the audience, managing the fragrance in Khusboo will surely be an impossible task for them.

Summer Hindi Movie Online

Though the movie titled as 'Summer 2007' doesn't directly connect with the plot of the story, but we presume that the director has in view the summer vacation of students during this period. So, he tries to utilize the student vacation period for a social cause. It's usual that the student community moves out of its campus/ hostel during the vacation and their principals directors assign them internship pertaining to their subject of study.

Yes, the summer of 2008 has already commenced but the director may have begun making this film last year, so he has titled it as 'Summer of 2007'. Besides, Mumbai rains are harsh and long enough and prompt everyone to move out of the town during this season. Hence, the director has chosen this season for weaving his story around this time of the year. Anyway, the debut director along with his producer deserves our thanks for choosing a noble story for filming!

The film moves around a group of five medical college students comprising Rahul aka Butter (Sikandar Kher), the group-leader, Qateel aka Kats (Arjan Bajwa) as the Casanova and Bagani aka Bugs (Alekh Sangal) in the form of a despot dude and the munificent Mother T aka Vishaka played by Gul Panag. Incidentally, Sikander had a failed relationship with Priyanka aka Pepsi played by Uvika Chowdhary.

As usual, the college youths plan a vacation to Goa though officially they are assigned to work as interns in a village hospital in Maharashtra. The village is notorious for farmer suicides. The students aren't aware of it until the village doctor Mukya played by Ashutosh Rana brings the piteous plight of the poverty-struck people to them.

Thus, Suhail Tatari has proved his directorial credentials in his first movie itself. First, he chooses a nice plot and then an equally competent cast. Undoubtedly, Ashutosh Rana has performed excellently well, and Sikander Kher has shown his maturity in the craft even during his short filmi span. Prosshant Narayanan has done well, too, in his role. Gul Panag, Arjan and Uvika have also fared well. Alekh's quest to lose his virginity has been annoying the audience.

Other strengths of the movie are a score by AR Rahman. Though the movie isn't a high profile one, but it has succeeded in its task of infotainment.

De Taali Hindi Movie Online

Of course, the theme of friends having fun together is hardly new or “different”. But if the gags are intentionally funny, fresh or presented with freshness, devoid of toilet humor, and fairly non-adult, I’m in.

Doesn’t mean that De Taali doesn’t have such quips or has a water-tight script. Hardly! Its just that there are “other” really funny situations and jokes too. Also, at most times, the humor is situation driven rather than a situation being forced in to accommodate the lines. Another round of applause for the writer because he actually made the girls relevant and funny in the comedy genre. If only they could have sewn it together into a coherent plot.

Anyway, the thing about laughing out loud and so hard-n-long that the neighbor gives you a long stare is that you begin to let go your requirements of “good cinema”. First you suspend your disbelief, then you put your brain to the proverbial rest for a couple of hours, then you give in.

Give in to the silliness of it all. Give in to the eccentric side characters and their comic relief sub-plots. It doesn’t happen to me too often, but when it does even a couple of those hearty laughs make the movie worth it. However the completely haywire last half hour and the abrupt, casual and ridiculous climax is absolutely unforgivable. Also references to a particular support group are in bad taste and don’t go with the otherwise sensitive tone of the movie.

Ritesh Deshmukh who plays a-new-plan-a-minute Paresh Gurudev is as good with his comic timing as ever. He actually looks slimmer and sleeker than Ayesha Takia playing the loving, caring Amrita. But being on the “chubby” side with almost constantly braided hair makes her character more adorable, more girl-next-door, more “identifiable with” type. Its nice to see a female lead not oozing her sexuality on us.

Aftab Shivdasani is a pleasant surprise. He is the affluent Abhishek who falls in true love with every other girl he meets. The man actually has the potential to make you smile! In order to bring out contrast between Amrita and Kartika’s mysterious character, Rimi Sen is given a tanned, sexy look. She is a revelation too. It is amazing how the women in De Taali show that all they need is a reasonably well written character.

I actually liked the fact that we were not entertained to a whole lot of back-story of all the characters. Only that much was revealed about their background as was necessary to move the plot forward. But, this has its own drawbacks. Whenever a particular plot point is disclosed, your mind travels back to when the relevant piece of information was told to you first, and in a way you feel manipulated.

I know, it sounds like I’m asking for just the right amount of information that “I” want. But doesn’t the art lie in making the movie so engaging that these thoughts do not come to my mind while I’m watching it? Overall though, I enjoyed being with the here-and-now of the characters. Especially considering that a possible alternative would be a voiceover reading out each character’s resume to acquaint us with them.

Yet, I’m sure the movie could’ve been liked by many more if it had been a good 30 minutes shorter. And though the foot-tapping numbers have decent lyrics and are set to some cool choreography, they are still out of place. Any day, I would prefer fewer songs to a 2 hour+ movie.

Parental Guidance:

* Violence: A slap here, a punch there. Nothing that would keep me from taking my 4 year old.
* Sexual content: One song with the lady seducing the man. A couple of songs in a bar with skimpily clad women.
* Concept: Its about friendship and how they reach out for one another. But, it all revolves around the love life of one of the characters.
* General Look and Feel: It’s a cheerful, keep-up-your-spirits kind-of a movie. Even the saddest, most emotional moments are laced with humor. But, the humor is not necessarily the kind that a child below 10 would get.

Haal-e-Dil hindi Movie Online

The launch film for Amitha Pathak but who Amita Pathak ? Well daughter of Producer Kamar Mangat. Apart of Amita, there are two other debutants ie. Nukul and Adhyayan. So basically launching 3 new faces to the Indian Cinema but what is this ? I guess bad luck for these new faces that this movie turned out to be real pain in....

Seems the director and writer Anil Devgan tried to take something good from many movies and put them all together which instead of making a delicious drama, turned out to be Sour. Clearly you can see seen and plots taken from few hits and the author / director did not even try to manipulate those scenes so that no one can guess if its a complete rip off from Movie like DDLG and even Jab we met etc.

In short, movie is about three people ie. Sanjana (Amita), Rohit (Adhyayan) and Shekhar (Nukul), while Sanjana in Deep love with Rohit, on the other hand, Shekhar fell in love with Sanjana on a train journey, they moved away but both had each other in the thoughts.

So among boys, Shekhar is kinda flirt whereas Rohit is so committed to his thoughts. So there a love triangle but with bad presentation and in the end you says.. aah.. good finally its over and you come as dumb from the theatre that why the hell I decided for this movie !

Amita, she looks little aged in this role while other two boys clearly looks novice. There is no remarkable performance however, director got confused to hell and he came up with Bure haal movie.

Guest appearance of Ajay Devgan and Kajol did not help either and screenplay clearly seems wandering here and there. Music part of the movie is just bearable else, I am still looking to give a reason to watch movie for.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap Hindi Movie Online

What happens when a naughty kid gets hold of a ball of wool? He rolls it open and swathes it around the entire house, creating a terrific mess of complicated entanglements and accident-prone tripping zones.

Quite a few of Priyadarshan's comedies resemble such a scenario. They are insanely chaotic, and, more often than not, lead to nowhere. That wouldn't really be a valid crib if one got a few laughs and entertained in the process.

Mere Baap Pehle Aap kickstarts with a bikini-clad Mumait Khan soaking in the sun and sand, in the company of a dozen other equally under-dressed nymphs providing drool material for a lustful Om Puri and his tacky wig. It's like the makers decided to pack in as much forced hotness possible, in the first five minutes of the movie itself.

The next twenty minutes involve a salacious Puri convince his dough-kneading best buddy Paresh Rawal to help him bride-hunt who hasn't reached her 'expiry date'. Predictably, the mission goes kaput and they get in trouble with She-Cop [Archana Puran Singh, who else?]. Even as you recover from Singh's volley of bawdy metaphors, Akshaye Khanna comes to the rescue. And I mean that so literally [and gratefully]. The feeling doesn't last too long. Before you know it he's mouthing his own share of 'Bhains ki bachis!'

What's worse is that this entire caught 'n' rescued sequence is repeated thrice and in quick succession. Aesthetics, clearly, have no place in Priyadarshan's latest madness, said to be inspired by Malayalam flick, Ishtam. Having said that, Mere Baap Pehle Aap isn't a complete goner, either.

There are moments when you slip into your seat, comfortably viewing the effortless and endearing chemistry between Paresh Rawal and Akshaye Khanna [Images], playing an unconventional father-son pair. Paresh Rawal plays the perfectly adorable and compliant daddy to Akshaye's admonishing, authoritarian son. Besides exuding mutual warmth and taking well-timed cues, both the actors give each other respectful space, all of which is palpable on and off-screen.

Oddly, the significance of its title --son marrying off widower father to estranged childhood sweetheart [Shobana looking elegant as ever and clad in gorgeous saris. Too bad she's only required to frown or sob through the film] -- is realised alarmingly late in the film.

On the positive side that provides the romantic track, between Akshaye and the disarmingly lovely Genelia D'Souza, ample screen space to bloom convincingly. As evident in the super-duper Telugu rom-com, Bommarillu, Genelia, besides her apparent cuteness, brings in tons of freshness and traits to the youthful characters she chooses to play.

Speaking of characters, Om Puri is grossly miscast in a role tailor-made for Johnny Lever. The actor known for his electrifying performances takes the standard of hamming to an altogether unexplored level here. And you thought he has done it all in Buddha Mar Gaya. Also, whose idea was it to take so many unflattering close-ups of the guy?

The problem with Mere Baap Pehle Aap is its stubborn display of inconsistency.

It starts off like a B-grade version of Basu Chatterjee's Shaukeen, changes into a crazy game of Chinese Whispers, develops into a feel-good tale of a father-son and his fun-loving girlfriend, detours to do some heavy-duty Kerala tourism only to drastically meander into a old-fashioned social melodrama followed by a proverbial 'kahani mein twist'.

Aamir Hindi Movie Online

Rajeev Khandelwal, yet another television star transitions to the big screen, leaving behind a saga of controversy, the most significant being his on-off relationship with his mentor Ekta Kapoor. The soap queen had launched him through her saas bahu serials and ensured that he warmed himself into the hearts of his audience, nee women of all age groups, who were quite taken in by his good looks and well groomed persona.

Playing the part of a regular doctor, who has worked hard to emerge out of his middle class moorings to make a future in the UK, he returns to India where he has his mother, two sisters and a younger brother. Ah, yes, he happens to be a Muslim but a secular one, with a Hindu girl friend and a conviction that he is the master of his destiny.

How this conviction is blown to smithereens is seen the moment he alights at the Mumbai International airport and finds a larger force dictating his every move and action. His eyes seek out his family members who had promised to receive him at the airport, in vain, his luggage gets whisked away in an unfamiliar taxi, a mobile phone is forcibly thrust into his hands and the moment he takes his first call on it, he is left with no choice but to follow strange directions by a voice at the other end, with whom the only connection is that of a shared religion.
What follows is a bizarre sequence of events, a la Phone Booth where Colin Farrel was trapped in a phone booth by a sniper, only here it is Rajeev who unwittingly plays out a part that has been written for him by a terrorist outfit. Sucked into their nexus to do their bidding, he is forced to cast aside his questions, simply because he has absolutely no choice in the matter.

The sheer helplessness and agony of being at their mercy and of not comprehending the larger picture is brought out well by the actor, with a face that is emotive and sensitive. To give him credit in his debut film, he does not ham or over act. In a very subtle and if one may say dignified way, he plays the part of a regular guy trapped in very frightening circumstances.

He has the screen presence and versatility to play a range of roles, though it is the dark brooding or angry young man parts that will become him. What comes across with an eerie intensity is the fact that what happens to Aamir, could happen to any of us. The shock and disbelief of being so very vulnerable to external forces, in this case terrorism and jingoism is brought out succinctly.

Quite the lone ranger who carries the film on his slim shoulders, he could work on his dialogue delivery and voice modulation. In some intense parts, his voice streteches into a shrill monotone that is jarring.

Racy and barely of 90-minutes duration, it makes for gripping viewing. At the end of the day it is a brave film. The launch pad of television’s golden boy, sans a glamorous heroine, item number, raunchy songs. In fact there are no overseas locales. Come to think of it, the hero does not even get a chance to display a designer wardrobe. It’s a singular black suit that he dons through the film. A movie that challenges the adage, you are the master of your destiny, to tell you in no uncertain terms that destiny is a matter of chance and certainly not choice.

Pranali Hindi Movie Online

Starring :Hemant Pandey, Nargis, Raman Trikha, Sudha Chandran, Upyendra Limaye, Vinay Apte

Music :Kailash Kher, Naresh, Paresh

Director :Hirdesh Kamble

Producer :Nikhil Mathur

Pranali-a never ending journey of a devdasi releases this week. The movie releases without much promotion or hype under Nikhil Mathur'€™s Harward Entertainments banner. The movie marks the solo debut of Nargis who was last seen in Garam Masala.

The story revolves around Pranali(Nargis) , a girl born in a small village and soon falls prey to the downtrodden systems of society. On the account of serving God, the child is offered as a Devdasi to the high priest in the village and soon becomes an object of lust.

Life becomes much tougher when Pranali gives birth to a girl and soon struggles to educate her daughter seeking a normal life for her. On grounds of being a sex workers daughter, the girl is refused admission in school.

Soon comes in an NRI (Raman Trikha) to do a research on Sex workers in India and soon engages Pranali and the gang of sex workers including Kanchi (Rohini Kapoor) , Salma (Vaidehi Singh) ,Chanda (Dipsshikha) and Akka (Sudha Chandran) into the battle for legalization of prostitution by the government.

Sounds interesting huh? Hmm'€¦. Well , that'€™s what many believe and expect it to be one of those hard-hitting films. Though the movie tackled relevant issues, the execution and direction by Hirdesh Kamble is pretty poor. The story, screenplay and dialogues by Hirdesh Kamble and Manoj Pandey literally kill the entire film.

The movie is tremendously vague and the so called journey of the devdasi leads you nowhere. The movie starts off with the little Pranali and her encounter with the high priest , minister and from there to being a sex worker and from there moves to being a mother and then fighting as a social worker etc and finally the book release makes it a complete boring and vague mix of events.

To add to it all is the boring and dull Bhaigiri sequences including Upendra Limaye as the taxi driver which makes it completely pathetic. Upendra tries to carry the film off as the solo made lead in a film overloaded with women. Upendra even gets to swing to a song sung by Kailash Kher being a complete out sync track.

The movie keeps on dragging and truly becomes a never ending journey for the audiences. On the performance scale Nargis does show us that she has immense potential but the script in this case makes us overlook all performances even that of Sudha Chandran and Dipsshika.

Music of the film by Kailash Kher and his Kailasha band members Naresh and Paresh is such a letdown and the addition of songs in the film make you yawn. No comments on the other aspects of the film.

To conclude, Pranali comes across as a very poor launchpad for Harward Entertainments. With a movie being tremendously a never ending dull, boring journey; let'€™s hope that their next few ventures are worth a watch. Nargis no doubt is talented but needs to select her flicks carefully.
