Takkari Telugu Movie Online

What's it about?

Tirupathi or Tiru (Nitin) is a carefree guy and his parents (Chandramohan and Sudha) scold him for his non-seriousness. One day, his father asks him to leave him and Tiru takes shelter that night in a temple. In the morning, he sees a beautiful girl Priya (Sada) and falls in love with her. Priya is the sister of a businessman Guru (Shayaji Shinde). Tiru takes different route to express his love, he first meets Guru and expresses his feelings. Tiru's attitude makes Priya to fall in love. The rest of the story is the mind game between Tiru and Guru.

Analysis

After a series of flops and a gap of one year, Nitin makes comeback with Takkari, a remake of Tamil film - Thiruvilayadal Arambam (2006). Nitin seems to have worked hard for this film to get the success - worked on dances and has changed his get up too. Takkari might not bring him big break that he is looking for, but it gives him some hope or relief. The film has some funny moments. The different love track between Nitin and Sada, some dialogues and songs provide time pass. Rest of the film and the direction is mediocre. The dialogues and Nitin's dances are also fresh. "Ammo" Rajashekar doesn't show any creativity. He lacks sensibile handling (that was evident in Khataranak and he exhibits same qualities).

The confrontation scenes between Nitin and Shayaji Shinde are highlight and those make the film an okay one.

Performances

Nitin improves a lot. His hard work shows as he exhibits ease at dances and dialogue delivery. He has done a lengthy dance movement for almost 50 seconds, which is good. Sada has done very glam role. In songs, she has indulged in skin show. Shayaji Shinde is perfect for the role. Raghu Babu's character provides enough laughter but the comedy scenes between Ali and Nitin; Ali and Venu Madhav are not funny.

Of the songs, "Ammi Ammi.." stands out. Editing by Gowtham Raju (but he indulges in unnecessary gimmicks) and cinematography is neat.

Bottom-line

Takkari is just an ordinary movie. Its storyline and some funny moments especially the confrontation scenes between Nitin and Shayaji Shinde and the love track between Nitin and Sada are engrossing. It is better than Nitin's films and might bring him some relief, if not success. To sum up, it is an okay movie.

Indra Telugu Movie Online

Story

The film opens with a series of events that leave an astounding impact, shown in time intervals of decades about how one blood-seeking family is trying to annihilate another peace-making influential family in the land of Rayalaseema. In the process they show a kid called Indra Sena Reddy occupying the big chair of the peace making family at a tender age of 8 years.

Then the scene shifts to Varanasi, where the newly appointed UP governor Chenna Kesava Reddy (Prakash Raj) comes to visit Varanasi along with his family, which includes a beautiful daughter Pallavi (Sonali Bendre) who is studying at BHU (Banaras Hindu University).

When Pallavi takes holy dip in Ganges her pearl pendant floats off and adorns the neck of a guy who is also taking holy dip. According to the mother of Pallavi, if somebody leaves something that is dear to them in the Ganges at Varanasi, his or her wishes would come true. But Pallavi does not know that the pendant reached a person called Shankar Narayan.

Shankar Narayan (Chiranjeevi) works as a taxi driver to make his living. He (removed also here) has a trusted lieutenant Valmiki (Tanikella Bharani) and a loyal assistant Giri (Sivaji). Shankar Narayan is very fond of his nephew and niece.

On seeing Shankar Narayan when he visits BHU where his niece Nandini is studying, Pallavi realizes that her pendant is adorned on Shankar Narayan's neck. Nandini and Pallavi are friends. Pallavi falls in love with Shankar Narayan, as she believes that as a 'Shivudi Aagna' (Command of Lord Shiva). She acts as a pilgrim and manages to reach Shankar Narayan's house as guest. She stays there as an orphan. The Governor is worried that his daughter is missing from University. He contacts the local mafia people and summons them to search her daughter. They report to him that she is staying in the house of a taxi driver named Shankar Narayan and she is in love with him. Then Governor uses his mafia links to abduct the family members of Shankar Narayan and transports them in a train. Shankar Narayan gets hold of a helicopter (owned by a Muslim friend Khan - played by Punit Issar) and chases the train to get back his family members.

The irritated Governor lands up at the house of Shankar Narayan with a fleet of cars carrying armed men. When he spots Shankar Narayan, he is very much surprised. He salutes Shankar Narayan and asks him about how and why is he in Varanasi. When Pallavi says that she is in love with Shankar Narayan, the Governor requests Shankar to marry Pallavi. But Shankar Narayan says that he is a responsible guy and he will have to wait till his niece Nandini is married. Then his loyal assistant Giri informs that he is in love with Nandini and Nandini also likes him.

Nandini's marriage with Giri is fixed. When Giri is about to tie the nuptial knot, a fleet of cars enter the compound with a group of villains and a beautiful girl gets down from a Mercedes. That beautiful lady comes to the podium and asks Giri to come out by calling him as Veera Reddy. The black sheep Veera Reddy under the guise of Giri comes out and joins the villain gang. Then the lady tells the crowd that Shankar Narayan is Indra Sena Reddy. And she challenges Shankar Narayan to come back to Rayala Seema.

When asked by the crowds to tell the flashback, Valmiki starts telling the flashback.

Indra Sena Reddy is the peace-loving youngster who performs Yagnam for the rains in Rayalaseema. When he is about to complete the last day of Yagnam, the just-release Veera Kesava Reddy comes to the spot to foil Jala Yagnam. Indra kills him. As soon as he dies the clouds start becoming darker and it drizzles.

Veera Kesava Reddy has got five sons and a daughter. The elder one Veera Shankar Reddy (Mukesh Rushi) heads the five brothers. When Indra Sena Reddy rescues Veera Shankar Reddy's son from a road accident - Veera Shankar Reddy treats it as a humiliation and kills his 6-year-old son. In the mean time, her sister Sneha Latha Reddy (Arti Agrawal) arrives from states after completing graduation. She falls in love with Indra for his goodhearted deeds.

Indra realizes that Rayalaseema needs a reservoir to store the water from rains. But Veera Shankara Reddy and his brothers own the place suitable for building reservoir.

Indra convinces the collector Chenna Kesava Reddy (who later became the Governor of UP) that he would make the settlement for the land if he arranges a meet with Veera Shankara Reddy brothers. In the meeting the brothers of Veera Shankara Reddy ask to surrender all the land and houses to them and leave the Rayalaseema in exchange to their land for reservoir. As the final wish, Sneha Latha Reddy asks Indra to marry her. Indra accepts all their demands and says that he would give property immediately, then marry Sneha Latha Reddy and leave Rayala Seema only after completing the reservoir project.

You have to wait and see what exactly happens in the flashback and what follows next on the giant screen with DTS effect to get the maximum viewing pleasure.

Analysis:
First half is a perfect blend of mass and class elements. It's extraordinary. The interval scene gives the right finishing touch to the first half. The second half has typical B Gopal Kind of action sequences. But, at the same time the saint-like attitude and revenge seeking vigor is judiciously mixed for Indra Sena Reddy character. Second half of the film is excellent. This film is an 18 reel film, which leaves you in theater for about 2 hours and 50 minutes. But you would enjoy every moment of it. Another best thing about this film is that Chiranjeevi is shown as a 30+ guy, which adds some authenticity for the hero characterization. You can go to this film with full expectations and still you get what you want. This film is a super hit for sure. But what needed to be seen is if this film becomes industry's number one or not. Only future will tell!!

Okkadunnadu Telugu Movie Online

Story

Gautami (Neha Julka) is a real estate agent in Mumbai. Kiran (Gopichand) owns a property in Mumbai and sells it through Gautami. He needs money for an urgent purpose and asks Gautami to help him out in getting the money soon instead of the agreed time of six months. Sona Bhai (Mahesh Manjrekar) is an influential mafia don in Mumbai who needs an urgent heart transplantation. His blood group (Bombay blood group) is rare as very few people in India belong to the same blood group. As Sona Bhai runs out of options, his men desperately search for a healthy man from whom the can get heart for their boss. Apparantly Kiran also belongs to the same blood group. And the rest of the story is all about the tussle between Kiran and Sona Bhai.

Artists Performance

Gopichand: Kiran role in this film adds a new addition to Gopichand‘s arsenal. He changed his dialogue delivery and body language to suit the role of a city-based guy, brought up in sophisticated environment. He looks extremely flexible and comfortable in lethal action sequences.

Others: Neha Julka is adequate as female lead. She looks more beautiful without a bindi (bottu). Mahesh Manjrekar is good as mafia man suffering from health problems. Nassar played a vital role of villain’s close associate. Rahul Dev is extremely good in a different character. Giri Babu plays heroine’s father. The comedy bit by Brahmanandam in second half deserves special mention.

Technical Departments:

Story - screenplay - direction: Story of the film is different. Though the storyline is very thin, director Chandra Sekhar Yeleti made sure that there is enough logic behind every move hero makes. He also created the screenplay in such a way that hero has a strong reason behind staying in Mumbai though hounded by the villain’s gang. At the same time, goons can’t be ruthless on hero as they want him alive and healthy . That gives hero the power of invincibility. Chandra Sekhar canned action sequences extremely well, but the romance thread between the lead pair is under developed. One unappealing thing about the narration of the film is that the subject is too serious and the director did not try to mix some humor in narration of the film the way he did for his earlier two films.

Other departments: Cinematography by Jaya Krishna Gummadi is neat. We definitely expect better music from Keeravani for this film. The songs shot in Dubai by Krishna Vamsi offer some relief. Dialogues by Koratala Siva are good. There are some intelligent dialogues in second half like ‘Nee Gunde Dhairyam Chavali. Kaani Gunde bagundali’. Artwork by Ravindar is realistic (especially heroine’s house set by the bay). Fights composed by Allen Amin, Ram Lakshman & Vijay are first rate. Production values by Clap Entertainment are good.

Analysis: First half of the film is neat and it lays very good foundation for the battle between the hero and the villain. Second half is filled with series of action sequences which makes it redundant. The way Gopichand takes 4 crores from villain is good (it’s more of psychological than physical). The climax of the film appears little abrupt. The plus points of the film are taking of Chandra Sekhar Yeleti and action sequences. The main draw back of the film is lack of relieving entertainment. Chandra Sekhar made sure in his earlier films (Aithe and AOR) that however serious the subject is, the narration is in lighter vein with nice humor. That humor is missing in this film. Violence is excessive. The fate of the film depends on how family crowds take it.

Arya Telugu Movie Online

Arya - A cocktail of fun and more fun

There is no such thing as guaranteed success in filmdom. For, there are so many imponderables involved that nothing is taken for granted. But in the case of Arya, it was almost a given that the film will succeed.

To start with, the hype machine was at work incessantly before the release of the movie. And then there were carefully thrown tidbits about the movie from time to time. Finally, with the release of the music of the film, the marketing pitch reached a new high.

And after watching the film you also feel that here is a movie that is every inch worth its pre-release hype. Not only Arya is expected to lead the pack in the long summer of seemingly never-ending releases but also give the hero of the film, Allu Arjun, a new identity.

And now on to the film.

Arya is an unabashed package showcasing Allu Arjun and his dancing and fighting abilities. The thing it looks like it will work at the box-office.

The story actually can be completed at the back of a bus ticket. It is a typical boy-sees-girl-falls-in-love-at-first-sight-and-works-to-win-her-heart.

The movie revolves around Arya (Allu Arjun), a youngster with lots of attitude and plenty of good heart. Arya, a college student, falls head over heels for the charm of his college mate Geeta (Anuradha Mehta). But the problem is Ajay (Siva), the spoilt son of a rich politician (played with delightful insouciance by Rajan P Dev), who is also in love with Geeta.

The latter, as it happens, also accepts his proposal as he threatens to jump from the top of the college building if she refused. The rest of the story is all about how Arya makes a change in Geetas heart and how she moves away from the fumbling and exasperated Ajay.

The story is old as the sky. But the director, newcomer Sukumar, has managed to create situations, through deft screenplay, that can keep you engrossed in the movie. He has also managed to wrest top-class performances from his main cast.

Allu Arjun is the revelation of the movie. Be it dance or fights, he really pack a punch. He is full of beans and the director has fully utilized his talents. The gawky hesitancy that one got to witness in his first venture Gangothri is happily missing in this one. Of course, he is still an unfinished product ---- in that his acting skills and dialogue delivery need improvement. But the point is Allu Arjun has shown that he is a willing learner and is always ready for changes.

The heroine Anuradha Mehta is full of gamin charm and looks adequate. She is not fully tested in this movie. But what little she has been asked to perform, she does with ease and poise. But when are we going to have heroines who can speak on their own the dialogues?

Siva, as the jilted boyfriend, has ample opportunities to parade his skills. There is a fun element to his role and he has used them to his advantage. The others in the cast ---- Rajan P Dev, Babbloo (heroes friend) Sunil (in a cameo), Subbaraju (oozes menace as the villains points man), Venu Madhav, Vidya ---- all pass muster.

But the man who should walk away with all the kudos is musician Devi Sri Prasad. He is at his inspirational best in the songs and in re-recording he is soothing as a cool juice in summer heat. The songs Nuvvante, Takadhimithom (Allu Arjuns dance add more weight age), Feel MY Love among the six numbers in the film stand out.

Cinematographer Rathnavelu has also proved to be an able ally as he comes up with almost perfect frames.

Director Sukumar deserves praise for putting together an enjoyable cocktail of fun and fantasy. He keeps the tempo of the film going. To be sure, after this movie, he will be rightly besieged with more offers.

All told, Arya is Allu Arjuns.

Idiot Telugu Movie Online

Story

Chanti (Ravi Teja) is the son of a head constable (Kota). Chanti is a guy with carefree attitude. He is beaten by a rival gang at college and was rescued by a beautiful girl (Rakshita). She pays his hospital bills and donates her blood. She is gone from the hospital by the time Chanti became conscious. Chanti starts loving her for her good-heartedness though he did not see her. That girl's name is Suchitra. She later turns out to be the daughter of the city police commissioner Vipra Narayana (Prakash Raj).

The fun starts now with how Chanti falls in love with Suchitra and gives sleepless nights to Vipra Narayana. Will Chanti get to marry Suchitra in the end or will Vipra Narayana succeed in the are climax are the questions to be answered. To know more about it, watch this 'Idiot' on big screen!

Artists:

Ravi Teja:
Ravi Teja's strength is his spontaneity in action (behavioral action without any drama) and excellent dialogue delivery with a tinge of accent. In Idiot, Poori Jagannath used all the talent of Ravi Teja in right direction to the maximum result. Ravi Teja is simply the best in this film. He delivered his best performance so far in 'Manasichi Choodu' and with this film he outsmarted his earlier performance. The 'care-a-damn' attitude of the hero role got elevated and has the shades of heroism performed by Chiranjeevi in Gang Leader and Pawan Kalyan in Badri.

Rakshita: She is cute and suited the role to the tee. In some of the angles, she resembles Ramu's find Anthra Mali. The voice that dubbed her role is also sweet.

Prakash Raj: Prakash Raj performed the role of obsessive father and villain of Idiot. He did well. His introduction scene is pretty good.

Others: Ali's cameo in the second half is very good. Jeeva's comedy-oriented SI role is good. After a long gap, Kota got a full-length role that projects the two-panged facets of a sincere Head constable and helpless middle-class father. Kota did very well.

Technical Departments

Poori Jagannath: Story - screenplay - direction - dialogues - production: Idoit is a Poori Jagannath's film all the way. He seems to be getting better and better with the films. He excelled in all five departments he donned. Story of the film is a routine one, but the treatment is excellent. Screenplay of the film is tight. Poori Jagannath made sure that the comedy in the film is injected into the character of hero. Hero does the 90% of comedy in this film. At the same time, director made sure that the comedy of hero would not dilute the seriousness of hero's love towards heroine. The most important aspect of the film is dialogue department. Most of the dialogues uttered by Ravi Teja are rib-tickling. Poori Jagannath also excelled in the department of production, as the entire film looks very rich.

Music: Chakri's music is not so good when you listen to the album. But on the screen, songs are better with good choreography and nice picturization. Background music is good by Chakri. Only Poori Jagannath seems to know how extract good background music from Chakri. His background scores are not impressive in other films.

Photography: Shyam K Naidu excelled in camera work with this film. The entire film has the right color combination and perfect shades to match the mood of the scenes.

Positive Points:

1. Poori Jagannath's screenplay and dialogues
2. Ravi Teja's terrific performance
3. Shyam K Naidu's cool photography

Negative Points:

1. Routine storyline.

Analysis:
Idiot film is not an idiotic film. It's just an attempt to get back the negative-titles like Donga, Killer, Kiratakudu etc to the glory. The first half of the film is cool and second half is also equally good. This film has got class and mass elements in equal proportions. The confrontation scenes between Prakash Raj and Ravi Teja are excellent. Idiot is a much-deserved break for Poori Jagannath as the producer. Idiot is a good film to watch for everybody.

Game Telugu Movie Online

Game - Game is on

The Sri Lakshmi Prasanna Productions ‘Game’ (Aata Modalaindhi) is scheduled for release on Aug 4th.

Father and son duo Mohan Babu and Vishnuvardhan Babu will be appearing on the big screen for the first time in full-fledged roles. Their roles in the film will be poles apart and in full aggressive spirit. The roles of both will be contrasting in nature and will be difficult to come to grips with. All the songs in the film have been picturised on the lead pair Vishnuvardhan Babu and Parvathi Milton. Mohan Babu will be seen in a stirring role in the film, without any songs picturised on him.

The film is a remake of Hindi Film Taxi No: 9211, starring John Abraham and Nana Patekar. Few changes have been incorporated in the story to suit the nativity and the taste of the Telugu audience.

Vishnuvardhan Babu is playing the role of wealthy guy Yuvaraj in the film and Mohan Babu is playing the role of the Taxi driver Pandit Veeraraghava in the film.

The film is replete with chase sequences involving the two. The exchange of dialogues between the two is best seen on the silver screen.

The combination of Mohan Babu and Shobhana has always spelt success. She is acting in a Telugu film after a long gap. She is playing the role of wife to Mohan Babu in the film. Parvathi Milton, who made her debut in the film ‘Vennala’, is playing the romantic interest of Vishnuvardhan Babu.

Music director Joshua Sridhar (of ‘Premishte’ fame) is the music composer and this is his debut film in Telugu, for which he has come out with foot-tapping numbers.

Director Ramprasad has carved the film into a beautiful one.

The dances composed by choreographer Rajesh Aacharya and the camerawork of Balamurugan is going to be biggest plus point of the film.

Success has been eluding the family of Mohan Babu in recent times. It remains to be seen whether ‘Game’, will have a ball at the box-office.

Madhumasam Telugu Movie Online

The girl believes that the only thing that gets the world going is love. The guy believes that the word "love" is a very vague term that has no practical meaning. That is till they get to know each other. Once they meet and the relationship develops slowly they change their opinions of love. The guy starts believing in love and the girl is disgusted with love. To find out the details and what happens in the end, people will have to watch the Madhumasam. And the details are interesting, so people will be better off watching it.

It's time to heap praises on the director and producer of Madhumasam. This is a clean movie with very little violence. So it's strongly recommended for family viewing. The romance is also clean without any vulgarity. Hats off to the director and producer for making such a fantastic movie that never makes you wince in the presence of your family.

Thanks to Sekhar Kamulla, Sumanth has earned name as a hero who can enact romance scenes in a realistic manner. This is tougher than portraying romance where the heroine is expected to fall for the hero in 15 minutes after the start of the movie and all they do in the name of love is to dance in Thailand or Switzerland. There is plenty of acting involved in Madhumasam that require genuine expressions. He does full justice to his role as a hard hearted practical guy that makes a volte-face on love.

Sneha on the other hand has emerged as a very competent actress. She is the perfect girl for the role of a working girl with full of mushy notions of love. From a very optimistic and positive girl that has dreams about life she turns into a hard hearted girl who clams up with the very mention of the word love. This she has done beautifully.

The comedy track keeps the rhythm of the movie intact. The highlight of comedy is Siva Reddy who imitates all the heroes of yesteryear. And the songs are good too, especially the first song that is shot like the songs of 1950's.

Happy Days Telugu Movie Online

Happy Days - A fantastic narration of college life

Shekhar Kammula made his debut into films with 'Dollar Dreams'. Later, he ventured into Telugu films and his first movie 'Anand' starring Raja and Kamalini Mukherjee, was a big hit as it was a different from routine film. As the tagline of the film suggested, the film is really tasted like a good coffee. His next film is 'Godavari' featuring Sumanth and Kamalini Mukherjee. This film too was proved a good hit.

After two big successes, Shekhar ventured into the third movie with all new faces. At the same time the film featured the 'Happy Days' of college life and he made it again to achieve a hattrick. This time the director targeted the youth in particular.

A team of students join engineering college. Of them ChandraShekhar @ Chandu (Varun Sandesh) Madhumati @ Madhu (Tamanna), Rajesh (Nikhil), Appu (Gayatri Rao), Tyson (Rahul) and Chandra (Vamsikrishna) become good friends. As usual, the seniors rag the juniors and the juniors used to obey the seniors. One of the seniors order Madhu to come to the college in a half-saree. Chandu loses his heart once he saw Madhu in half saree. Their friendship grows to such a level that Chandu opens his heart innocently that he wanted to kiss her, while doing combined studies. Madhu's father happens to listen those words. Being a father's child, Madhu stops talking with Chandu. For almost two years their friendship fails to blossom again.

However, both of them continue to love each other in their hearts and same is the case with Rajesh and Appu. Of them, Tyson is brilliant chap and he used to do several wonders with his intelligence. Once, Tyson finds Chandra's girlfriend (Monali Choudary) with some other boy and warns Chandra to forget her. He fails to listen to Tyson. Then he tries to tell that girl not to cheat Chandra, and in a fit of anger slaps her. This causes heartburn to that girl who instigates the seniors, one of whom was her brother, and also Chandra. They bash him up. In another case, Tyson loses his heart to a senior Sravanti (Sonia). But she has some other plans to continue her education in the US and she refuses friendship with Tyson. Will Chandu able to patch up with Madhu? What happened the friendship between Appu and Rajesh? Did Chandra realise that his girlfriend really ditched him? Answers to all these questions form part of the climax.

Performance:

Chandu (Varun Sandesh): Though there are four heroes in the film, Sandesh could be considered as the main hero as he dominated all the other characters and appeared the leader of the gang. He also got a good footage all through the film. Though a novice, he performed well. Especially in the love and romantic scenes and other scenes with college in the backdrop, he showed good body language.

Madhu (Tamanna): Though she appeared in modern attire, i.e, in jeans and shirts, she appeared very homely. She is glamorous in modern outfits and at the same time gorgeous in half sarees and sarees. She too gave a brilliant performance along with Sandesh. Especially, she expressed good anger in her eyes and in facial expressions.

Rajesh (Nikhil): This is another major character that has good footage all through the film. Though he is the son of an MLA, he could not do anything in front of seniors and he provided good comedy in the movie. His language with Telangana slang is good to listen and his expressions and body language in convincing the other friends is worth watching.

Tyson (Rahul): This is another major character in the film. He is a very intelligent guy. He wants to do something in Robotics. He had good interest in computers and he used to do wonders with his experiments in physics and chemistry. Moreover, his body language in saving the friendship.

Ontari Telugu Movie Online

Ontari - Back to good old revenge drama!

Revenge dramas had become passé. No longer do we have macho heroes bashing up the goons a la the 1980s and walking into the sunset. Today’s popcorn generation loves romantic comedies and the Gen X wants to see the hero and heroine zipping past on a bike into the sunset. But with 'Ontari', the makers attempt to revive the genre of the good, old fashioned revenge dramas.

So, we have all the ingredients that are essential to whip up one. There is the good guy or the hero Vamsi (Gopichand). Then there is the happy family. As is the case with all such films, he falls in love with Bujji (Bhavana). Call it sheer coincidence, but it is love at first sight. Though the heroine refuses to take the cue initially. So, he tells her that he is a CBI officer and voila, she falls for him instantly. Déjà vu? We warned you already!

Now if you think there are not enough similarities with revenge dramas of the yore, then here’s an encore. There is a local baddie Lal Mahankali played by Ashish Vidyarthi, who has a spoilt brat brother Panda (Ajay). By another coincidence, Panda eyes Bujji and misbehaves with her. Surely this is not reason enough to instigate our hero. So, the next logical act for the revenge drama happens -- the kidnapping and subsequent rape of a girl, who is special to the hero. At the same time, he is back-stabbed by his politician-friend Raghava, who stands by Lal Mahankali and Panda. The girl dies and our hero conveniently slips into coma.

From here on, the film enters the revenge mode. But it’s not just the loss that Vamsi suffers from. He also suffers from a different form of schizophrenia or so we are told. He has hallucinations about the girl being still alive. So like in quintessential revenge dramas, the film ends with the hero taking his revenge.

In case you wondered what’s new, then the fact that it is a revenge drama is itself something different, in the age of ‘go-getter love stories’. Then of course, the producers behind the Eetaram Films banner, which is known for its message-oriented films, have decided to take a break and go all commercial. Barring that, whatever you get to watch is something you had watched before.

However, that is not to say the film is a no-no. Gopichand puts in a strong performance and manages to show his softer and rough sides simultaneously. Bhavana is simple and suits her character. As for the others, they play their parts with their usual conviction. The director BV Ramana sticks to the action flick genre and does not bother to digress from it one bit. So, the film tends to get a bit intense and rather monotonous at times.

But Mani Sarma has some good numbers and the songs shot abroad are visually pleasing. Despite it being an action film, you cannot but help wonder how it would have been, had the director tried some comedy, just to give us some respite.

It surely is no trend-setter. But if you are happy watching revenge films, then check this out! You won’t go home disappointed.

Cast: Gopichand, Bhavana, Ashish Vidyarthi, Rajeev Kanakala, Ajay, Sayaji Shinde, among others

CREDITS:

Banner: Eetaram Films

Producer: Pokuri Baburao

Music Director: Mani Sarma

Director: BV Ramana

Geetha Telugu Movie Online

Story: Rahul (Rishi) is a manipulative entrepreneur who is obsessed with bedding every woman he lays his eyes on. He cheats everybody around for money and he has the habit of ringing up his girlfriends from public a telephone booth. One fine day, after making the phone call, the phone in the booth rings. The rest of the story is all about what happens when he lifts that phone.

Actors: Rahul is competent in the main lead. Sreya Jha and Hamsa Nandini are adequate as female leads. Sai Kumar plays a vital role in the film. His voice is nicely utilized in this film as a character. Brahmaji is pretty good. Chitram Seenu and Srinivasa Reddy are ok. Nutan Prasad did the role of a court judge. But we got used to his voice over to Neralu Ghoralu so much that we don’t feel any difference.

Story – screenplay – direction: The story of this film is a straight lift from Hollywood flick ‘Phone Booth’. Since the entire film takes place in a phone booth and the surrounding area, there will not be many locations. The only difference between Phone Booth and Geeta is that the director liked up a flashback which unfolds before the climax. Screenplay of the film is not up to the mark. Direction is inadequate.

Other departments: Dialogues of the film are partly good. The director used some good quotations like ‘It takes just a few seconds to say I love you, but a life time to show it’. ‘Neekosam’ song rendered by Sunita is excellent. The picturization of ‘Karlo duniya muttime’ is shabby. There is nothing to write about other technical departments as the film is made in a shoestring budget.

Analysis: The movie starts off in a mediocre fashion. The take off for the phone booth scene is interesting. The interest levels in the second half could not be sustained. This film might offer some thrill value to B and C center crowds. But it may not appeal to class audiences. On a whole, Geeta is a poor copy of English thriller ‘Phone Booth’.

Kalidasu Telugu Movie Online

Sushant, who hails from the family of film artists like Akkineni Nageswara Rao, Nagarjuna and Sumanth, has a passion towards acting. He is also the nephew (sister's son) of Nagarjuna like Sumanth. In order to promote him as hero, his mother A Naga Suseela in association with another producer Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao to produce Kalidasu. Annapurna Studios came forward to present the film, though the film is being made under the banner of Sri Nag Corporation. Tamanna, who bagged a hit like Happy Days recently, played the female lead. The story for the film was penned by the producer itself. Though the first half of the film is routine, the director is able to show some novelty with twists and mind game in the second half.

Kalidasu (Sushant) is the son of a sincere police officer (Nagababu), who gets killed in the hands of a factionist (GV). However, Kalidasu kills that factionist and escapes from Rayalaseema and reaches Guntur.

Kanakadurga (Jayasudha) brings him up along with her son Dev (Kumar). Kalidasu helps Dev to continue his studies in Hyderabad, by turning himself a car-lifter. Baba (Chalapati Rao) buys such lifted cars. His son Basha (Sunil) also becomes his good friend. Once, Kalidasu lifts a car and finds a girl hiding in it. The girl says that her name is Mirchi (Tamanna) and pretends that she is a lunatic. But Kalidasu does not believe that she is lunatic and suspects her that she is pretending. Once some goons led by Pratap and Ajay (Vinodkumar and Ajay) reach Guntur and take away Mirchi after killing Basha. Kalidasu goes to Hyderabad after noticing Dev's photo with Mirchi in her mobile phone. However, after going to the college, the principal (Tanikella Bharani) reveals that Dev is killed by the goons led by a political leader (Rajan P Dev) and his henchmen Pratap and Ajay to save the college maintained by Archana @ Mirchi. Kalidasu decides to take revenge against the killers of Basha and Dev. Then Kalidasu starts his mind game and plays a trick, which makes Pratap to kill his own brothers. Later, Ajay kills his brother-in-law Pratap. In the climax, Kalidasu's trick again makes Ajay meet his own death. The film ends on a happy note.

PLUS: Through out the film, the director has maintained good tempo and did not lose grip on the story. Though it is the debut film for the hero, Sushant showed excellent ease in dances and action scenes. Tamanna is gorgeous in the film. Her outfits, costumes make her appear very romantic. She has not much scope to perform but for a couple of scenes in the first half. Another major plus point is the performance by the villains, Vinod Kumar and Ajay. Songs by Chakri are just average. Performance by Jayasudha and Tanikella Bharani are routine, while comedy by Sunil and Ravibabu is hilarious.

MINUS: Debutant hero Sushant is not glamorous and appeared like Taraka Ratna in some scenes. If he is serious to continue in the profession, he needs to improve his glamour, by getting his teeth cut with cosmetic dental surgery kind of thing. Once he could elevate his glamour, he has all other qualities to get a mass hero image. Though the director has tried his best to run the film with good tempo, he made minute mistakes here and there. Like students keeping quiet while the goons stabbing the hero and their failure to realize their mistakes. There is a lot of wire work during the action scenes.

REMARKS: Despite less glamour, the debutant hero, Sushant, is able to gain mass hero image. There are several elements in the film like sentiment, glamour, action and love scenes in the film to cater to the needs of all classes of audiences. The film does not appear like a debutant's film and the production values of Sri Nag Corporation are adequate.

Cast: Sushant, Tamanna, Vinodkumar, Rajan P Dev, Ajay, Sunil, Kumar, Santosh Pawan, Nagababu, GV, Jayasudha, Hema, Surekhavani, Shakeela and others.

Credits: Dialogues – Rajasimha, Camera – Akhilan, Music – Chakri, Lyrics – Chandrabose, Action – Kanal Kannan, Presents – Annapurna Studios, Producers – Chintalapudi Srinivasa Rao and A Naga Suseela, Concept and direction – G Ravicharan Reddy.

Banner : Sri Nag Corporation.

Pandurangadu Telugu Movie Online

Making a periodical / mythological / historical film, which is hitherto not seen by the audiences, is easy and the audiences would take it straight as the story is moulded on the celluloid for the first time. Unless the people, who watched are thorough on the story and history, they will take the story for granted. This is proved right in case of Annamayya and Sriramadasu and they became blockbusters. Though Sri Manjunatha was also brought out by the same team, it somehow failed at Box Office to certain extent. However, while bringing out a story, which is already seen by the audiences and stood as an all-time classic, the entire unit should be very cautious because people would start comparing each scene. JK Bharavi, instead of bringing out the film, on the same lines made lot of changes in the subject. But for the last 25 minutes of the film, the remaining part is boring due to excessive show of romantic scenes.

Pundareeka (Balakrishna) is the son of a great devotee (Vishwanath) of Lord Krishna. The entire family including Pundareeka's mother, sister, brother-in-law, and paternal uncle are all devotees. However, Pundareeka feels like emulating Lord Krishna, who resorts typical thefts, moving with girls and enjoying life. He takes the life very casually and just enjoys the life. He doesn't want to marry as he treats girls like dolls. On the other hand, Lakshmi (Sneha) is also a great devotee of Lord Krishna and is the foster daughter of a priest (Balayya). In fact, she is an orphan but is brought up by him. Once, Lord Krishna (Balakrishna) appears in her dream and suggests that Pundareeka would be her husband.

When Pundareeka refuses the alliance on her father's word, Lakshmi settles in front of his house and continues to pray Lord Krishna to change the mind of Pundareeka. Pundareeka used to spend his evenings with Amrita (Tabu), a prostitute, who stays in the neighbouring village. One fine morning, the Lord Krishna changes his attire and convinces Pundareeka to marry Lakshmi. However, on the first night, Pundareeka takes away the jewellery from his wife and gifts them to Amrita. Later, Lakshmi prays the Lord again to change her husband's mind, and Krishna comes to her rescue again and unites Pundareeka with Lakshmi. Realising that Pundareeka is slipping from their hands, Amrita's mother (Y Vijaya) hatches a plan and swindles his entire property after some medication. Due to the effect of medication, Pundareeka drives away all his family members out of home. Then Amrita's mother necks out Pundareeka from that house.

Pundareeka challenges that he would bring another beautiful girl than Amrita and goes in search of her. In the process, he meets three beautiful girls in the ashram of Mrikanda. Though they reveal that they are the personifications of great rivers Ganga, Yamuna and Saraswati, Pundareeka tries to grab them out of lust. When they go inside Mrikanda's ashram, Pundareeka goes inside and attempts to kick the sage. As a result, he loses both his legs. After realising the mistake, Pundareeka pleads for a remedy. Mrikanda says Pundareeka can get back his legs only after serving his parents. Pundareeka then goes in search of his parents and finds them. He gets back his legs after they pardon his mistakes. While serving his parents Lord Krishna visits his home but Pundareeka tells him to stay there till his parents go to sleep. Lord Krishna turns an idol and stays there.

At this juncture, Pundareeka learns that Lakshmi is on death bed and goes to see her. Learning that his wife is not allowed inside the temple, Pundareeka prays the Lord to give the darshan and the latter appears to Lakshmi. After watching the God, Lakshmi passes away. On request from all his eight wives, Lord Krishna agrees to give life to Lakshmi, on a condition that the request should also come from Pundareeka. But, Pundareeka, instead of requesting to give his wife back, appeals to take him to his wife and Pundareeka also joins Lord Krishna.

PLUS: No doubt, Balakrishna gave an excellent performance. However, neither the cinematographer, nor the director nor the make-up man could show him as a young man. The elderliness could be easily seen in Balakrishna. He failed to appear like a young man. Moreover, the overdose of romanticism spoiled the spirit of the movie. Sneha is okay in the role of Lakshmi. She sports the girl next door role as usual. She too looks romantic in a song. Tabu has played the role of a prostitute. She has really done a fantastic job in her character and proved a perfect fit. Though she appears very romantic in the film, her character ought to be like that and there is a point to argue that it is vulgar. Vishwanath, Balayya and others have done justice to their characters.

MINUS: A senior director like Raghavendra Rao has taken the second role of Balakrishna very casually. Though Lord Krishna role is also played by Balakrishna, the characterisation is very poor. The entire troupe, Lord Krishna and his eight wives characters are very poorly moulded on the screen. The audience would get a feel of watching a stage play and the dialogues are very cinematic and dramatised way. LB Sriram's character as Narada is atrocious. Words like Anta Scene Ledu in general films are translated like Manaku Anta Sannivesam Ledu are in poor taste. JK Bharavi did not work whole-heartedly for the film. The comedy track picturised on Sunil and Brahmanandam failed to evoke laughter.

REMARKS: The original Panduranga Mahatmyam remained a classic due to excellent characterisation of all the roles. The original film, which was a devotional film in nature, had only 20 per cent romance and 80 per cent devotion. Moreover, the film was made when the late NTR was in prime age and he appeared very romantic in the film and the glow of devotion could be clearly noticed in the latter part of the film. But in this film the romance percentage is 70 and the devotional percentage reduced to 30. The extension of the film with the Lord Krishna waiting for a request from Pundareeka spoiled the mood. As is said earlier, but for the last 20-25 minutes, the film has nothing much to talk about.

Cast: Balakrishna, Sneha, Tabu, K Vishwanath, Mohan Babu (special appearance), Balayya, Prasad Babu, Sameer, Sunil, Dharmavarapu Subrahmanyam, Ali, Anant, LB Sriram, Jr Relangi, Brahmanandam, Jenny, Siva Parvati, Sana, Archana (Veda), Suhasini, Meghana Naidu, Y Vijaya, Apoorva, Sireesha, Bhargavi, Neethu, Baby Kavya and others

Credits: Story and dialogues – JK Bharavi, Camera – Jayaram, Editing – Srikara Prasad, Music – MM Keevarani, Producer – K Krishnamohana Rao, Screenplay and direction – K Raghavendra Rao.

Gamyam Telugu Movie Online

Star cast: Sarvanand, Kamalinee Mukherji, Allari Naresh, Ms. Narayana, Giri Babu and others
Director: Radha Krishna
Music: R. Anil and ES Murthy

Story

The film Gamyam comes as a ray of hope that Tollywood Industry is going in the positive way and will live to an extent in the year 2008. This year till date, we have been witnessing a series off flops from big stars like Balakrishna to Nagarjuna to small stars like Gopichand and Raja. Except for Krishna which was an average flick, all the other films were huge flops at the box office.

Gamyam the movie starts wit the story of a rich Guy Abhiram (Sarvanand). He is the younger sibling in the house and has grown up as a spoilt brat in the house. He is a son of a rich industrialist who has innumerable Riches and properties. As is the case with many rich people, Abhiram has also a bug in his mind that poor and middle classed people are ill mannered and are bad natured.
So Abhiram never mingles with people who are not up to his mark in the riches. At this time, he comes across a beautiful girl named Janaki (Kamalinee) . Janaki is an orphan who comes up in life the hard way. She is a doctor by profession and she serves the poor and the less privileged.
The two become close and mingle closely. However, Abhiram doesn’t like Janaki’s modest background and her social services. In the same way Janaki also hates Abhiram’s attitude of hating the poor and loving the richer class.

Janaki who becomes vexed with his attitude leaves him and goes away. Abhiram is now desperately in look out for Janaki.
Then enter the character named Seenu (Allari Naresh) who is a petty thief. Abhiram due to some incidents comes in contact with Seenu and with his help tries to trace out Janaki. The two search for Janaki on Seenu’s bike.
Abhiram finally manages to trace Janaki at a small village where she is serving the poor.

It is here that Abhiram learns the true meaning of life, while his long journey with Seenu makes him understand the lessons of human nature and also the realities inside the lives of the rich and the poor.
Finally, Abhiram changes in the climax and all ends in a happy note.

Performance

Sarvanand gives a good account of himself as a rich spoilt brat. It can be concluded that this guy has turned into a serious hero and is improving day by day. This film will definitely give a boost to his career and will also offer good film roles as such, in his coming future.

Allari Naresh finally comes up with an outstanding performance. It can be said that, he is the main meaning of the movie. His character of Seenu is well carved and has full scope to entertain the audience and also to give a message. His comic timing is excellent.

Kamalinee Mukherji’s role is not very lengthy. She is in the first half for about 158 minutes and then in the second half for 20 minutes. But her role is a need to the movie and also plays a pivotal role in making the audience glued to their seats. She exposes averagely. But truly speaking, she has finally changed a lot. Her beauty, her curves from top to bottom are ravishing and will make the male fans of her drooling over her in their sleep. She is now a full fledged heroine with good dancing skills and expressions.

On the whole the film is quite interesting and will entertain the audience very well. Though it seems to be a message oriented in the end, it has been said in a novel and agreeable way. Full credit goes to the director who made this film with small, but good actors.

The film is definitely worth watching and will give your every rupee back with its full entertainment. It is a family entertainment movie.

Swagatham Telugu Movie Online

Cast: Jagapathi Babu, Bhumika Chawla, Anushka, Arjun, Sudha, Rajesh, Sunil, Benarjee and others
Screenplay: Gopi Mohan
Music: R P Patnaik
Cinematography: Ramesh
Produced by: Aditya Ram
Story, screenplay and directed by: Dasaradh
Release Date: Jan 25, 2008
CBFC Rating: U

What's it about

KK (Jagapathi Babu) is a businessman and lands in USA along with his daughter. Shailu (Anushka) is a youngster who leads passive life with mounting financial problems and taking care of her mother and her sister's son. KK moves into her neighborhood and he infuses 'hope' in her and changes her attitude towards the life. She slowly then falls in love with him. When she proposes to him, KK reveals his past - about his married life with Vidya (Bhumika) and the reason for his coming to USA.

Analysis

Director Dasaradh is one of the sensible directors in Tollywood. He proved his mettle with Santosham. But his latest offering, Swagatham, fails to impress. He tries to do the same trick that he did in his maiden venture. Copying the basic plot from Hindi blockbuster Kal Ho Naa Ho, Dasaradh presents same age-old 'one-guy-two-women' drama with loads of sentiment. He attempts to capitalize Jagapathi Babu's image of 'iddaru muddugummala murari' but doesn't bring novelty on to the screen.

The problem with the film lies in its treatment. When the story is not good or oft-repeated one, narration should be engrossing and brimming with energy. Also these kind of stories require superb music and rich production values to elevate the mood. But the work of music director RP Patnaik and cameraman Ramesh is less said the better. RP has failed in giving lilting tunes also his background score is nothing to rave about. While the first half is KHNH, the post interval drama resembles to that of Jagapathi Babu starrer Mavi Chiguru.

The script and screenplay has many pot holes. Entire first half is very passive.

Performances

Jagapathi Babu does the same role that he has been doing for years though he looks handsome and much younger. Bhumika gives one of her career best performances. Her chemistry with Jagapathi Babu looks fantastic. Their romantic episodes are the best part of the film. Anushka looks sexy but nothing much to talk about her acting. Arjun in a guest role is okay. Comedy is adequate. Allari Ravi Babu does the role of Homosexual and his jokes about 'map' and Bang-'Cock' are in bad taste.

Technically the film is too weak. None of the technicians' job is worth mentioning. Dasardh shows his mark and creativity in Jagapathi Babu and Bhumika's episode but he seems to have stuck at Santosham.

Bottom-line
Swagatham is mix of Kal Ho Na Ho and Mavi Chiguru. It is loaded with sentiment and fails to impress. Although the second half is okay, it finally turns out to be typical Jagapathi Babu's film - a 'man and two women' drama. Its success purely lies on how well the women audiences accept it?

Nee Sukhame Ne Korukunna Telugu Movie Online

Giribabu had earlier produced and directed several hit films including Devatalara Deevinchandi, Simha Garjana, Merupu Dadi and Muddu Muchata. After a long time, he chose to wield the megaphone under his own banner. However, he could not change his style of direction and continued it in the old fashion. Though the film could be categorised as a love and family entertainer, it is doubtful how far it can attract the family crowds.

Madhu (Raja) hails from a poor family, but is a sports champion of the college. Besides, he is very good at studies. Swapna (Sneha) is the daughter of a millionaire Sarvabhouma Rao (Kota Srinivasa Rao). She is also good at studies and other extra-curricular activities. However, she is a down-to-earth girl and always wants to be very simple. She goes to the college in bus and doesn't want to use even a car. Sekhar (Chakravarthy) is their classmate. Sekhar loses his heart to Swapna. Ramya is also their classmate and is the best friend of Swapna. Once, Madhu saves a girl called Shanti when Swapna's brother (Raghubabu) tries to tease her. So, he bores grudge against Madhu. Though Sekhar loves Swapna, she gives her heart to Madhu and Sekhar silently moves away from them. When Madhu goes to Swapna's birthday party, he gets thrashed by her brother. So, Madhu decides to keep off from her for some time and goes to Hyderabad as he gets a job there. However, Madhu promises Swapna that he would marry her by convincing her parents and brother after some time. Ramya, who also stays in Hyderabad after her marriage, mistakes Madhu, as he moves close with Shanti, the daughter of the house owner. Moreover, one of Shanti's colleagues (Navabharat Balaji), who loves her, resorts to malicious campaign against Madhu and Shanti. This strengthens the doubts of Ramya and unfortunately Swapna goes to Hyderabad and she too mistakes the friendship of Madhu and Shanti. Swapna agrees to marry anybody as she feels that she has been ditched by Madhu. Incidentally, Sekhar happened to be the son of Sarvabhouma Rao's childhood friend (Narra Venkateswara Rao) and the elders fix their marriage. However, Sekhar too tries to convince Swapna that Madhu is a gentleman but fails in his effort. When Madhu meets Swapna, she chides him and terms him as a cheat. Just before the marriage, Sekhar dies in an accident. At this juncture, Shanti, who is the niece of Sekhar's father, visits him to console and she happens to see Swapna. She reveals the truth that her love is one-sided and Madhu really loves her and she is still in his thoughts. Swapna realises her mistake and finally the story ends with a happy note with the union of Swapna and Madhu.

PLUS: Sneha is quite homely and has sported a family girl's role in the film. She is in her usual best like her earlier flicks. Raja is okay as a gentleman and he got a choice to do some action scenes in this film, which could earn him a mass image. Raghubabu's villainy is good and he excelled in his histrionics. Brahmanandam has played dual roles in the film and he has elated the audiences with his comedy in the first half. Picturisation of songs is good and all the songs are completely based on melody. Camera work by Suresh is also adequate.

MINUS: The major minus point in the film is the very old fashioned direction. It is quite surprising that the director interlinked several characters with each other. The villainy of Raghubabu was also not properly established. Though he appears in a few scenes, the director should have concentrated more to portray his villainy through some more scenes. While Brahmanandam appears as a college student with a character called CM (College Muduru), he suddenly appears as a married man in the second half and as a jobless fellow. Clarity is missing in his character. Absence of mass elements is another major draw back.

REMARKS: The comedy scenes involving Brahmanandam and Kovai Sarala in the second half reminds the audiences of an old classic, where Relangi and Girija played a similar comedy track. It is almost a repeat. Unless there is wide publicity in general and mouth publicity in particular, the film may not attract even the family audiences. At a time, when the film industry is buzzing with mass and action flicks, the success of a soft family entertainer is really doubtful.

Cast: Raja, Sneha, Kota Srinivasa Rao, Raghubabu, Brahmanandam, MS Narayana, LB Sriram, Kondavalasa Lakshmana Rao, Chakravarthi, Uttej, Navabharat Balaji, Ranganath, Narra Venkateswara Rao, Kota Shankara Rao, Hema, Kovai Sarala, Annapurna, Jayalalithaa, Sakhi.

Credits: Camera – Suresh, Music – Madhavapeddi Suresh, Lyrics – Vennelakanti, Presents – Chappidi Hanumantha Rao, Co-producer – 3K Entertainments, Story, screenplay, direction and production – Giribabu.
